About this blog.

My son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS at 24 months. I created this blog to bring meaning to the often-confusing label. Sometimes I have answers. Other times, just more questions.

Vo-Brad-ulary

Here I translate Brad's top four cute-isms. One is a result of articulation challenges, one is him just being cute and the other two are a result of poor facial recognition.

"Ga-MEEN-as" - bananas

"Cozy" - Noun. The space between Mommy's back and the couch. E.g., "Let's play in the cozy!"

"Grandpa" - universal word for bald guy

"Robin" - universal word for brunette female with glasses

This post made me both smile and cringe! A man walked past in a hat, "ITS GRANPA" screamed Egg whilst doing the happy flap N jump. Or how about when the indian family sat down in the waiting room and Egg said "zed" as the child that was meant to be there wasn't but was indian....and many more times....

Nice title!

My kids love playing in the "cozy" as well. That's too cute. :)

Rainbowmummy, oh I laugh now, but when he said "grandpa" in reference to my sister in law's prematurely bald BF, it was all cringe.

April, see now you have a word for it...

I really love reading your blog. We are recently diagnosed and it helps to connect and hear from those with the same experiences. Brad and my little one sound a lot alike!! We are making progress too and his word approximations are our little connection-most of the time I am the only one that understands:)

I was smiling as soon as I saw the title of this post! My favorite is also the "cozy." How clever!
